Now on the Farm

Why did the chicken cross the pond?
Does it matter? I dream of a world where all chickens are free to safely cross whatever they want without their motives questioned. This is the farm situation after 5.5 inches of rain. During the rainy season I spend a lot of time on trenching and a lot of money on wood shavings in efforts to keep everyone happy and dry. Right after rain and during light rain the chickens are spread out all over their pastures eating every worm that comes up to the surface. The chickens are not so keen on snow.
